Your Home on Thanksgiving

While a formal dinner setup (above on right) looks beautiful and can "wow" guests, a buffet style setup (above left) is ideal if you're hosting a large crowd or are new to hosting Thanksgiving gatherings. The buffet style makes it easy for everyone to eat as much as they wish and when they want, (going back for seconds of course), while also being served quick and efficiently. Going with the buffet style setup, offer your guests sturdy, throw away plates and utensils to save on cleanup time.

The holidays can be such an exciting time for kids. Sometimes when they're so excited all they wanna do is run around and shriek with joy. If you know your Thanksgiving gathering will include many young kids, try to set aside a small room or space for them to play with each other. When it comes time to cut the turkey and eat, making a "kids" table is another way to keep the kids entertained together, while maintaining supervision.
